TS-873A is equipped with the powerful AMD Ryzen™ V1000 series V1500B quad-core processor, which brings the performance advantages of up to four cores and 8 threads, providing high clock speed and high computing power of up to 2.2 GHz. TS-873A provides dual-port 2.5GbE network and is equipped with 2 PCIe Gen 3 expansion slots, which can be flexibly configured for 5GbE/10GbE network expansion according to needs. The dual-port high-speed M.2 NVMe SSD slot can be flexibly configured for cache acceleration or Automatic tiered storage. The TS-873A is compatible with the QTS or QuTS hero operating system. Enterprise organizations can flexibly schedule the NAS operating system according to application needs in different periods.

Flexible switching of operating systems, enhanced data protection
The TS-873A is shipped with the QTS operating system, and you can change it to the QuTS hero operating system according to your needs. In this way, you can obtain the complete data protection mechanism of the ZFS file system, as well as data reduction functions such as Inline Data Deduplication, Inline Compression and Inline Compaction, making business applications even more powerful.

Notice:
1. Since QTS and QuTS hero use different file systems, users must first empty the computer (without installing the hard disk) and switch operating systems before performing system migration.
2. At least 8GB of memory is required to run the QuTS hero operating system.
3. Inline Data Deduplication function requires at least 16GB of memory. It is recommended to use 32GB or more memory for optimal performance.
4. It is recommended to use two or more SSDs to set up a RAID configuration as the QuTS hero system disk to obtain the best performance. (If you use the NAS's built-in M.2 SSD slot (available only on certain NAS models), please note that M.2 SSD is not hot-swappable. If you use the QM2 PCIe expansion card, M.2 SSD hot-swappable is supported.)
Dual M.2 NVMe SSD slots, supporting SSD cache or Qtier automatic tiered storage
TS-873A has two built-in M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD dedicated ports, allowing you to double the performance of SSD cache or Qtier automatic tiered storage.
M.2 SSD cache acceleration, data access is faster <br data-mce-fragment="1">Enabling SSD cache can improve disk random access performance and reduce I/O latency. For applications that require high IOPS (such as databases and virtualization), system operation efficiency can be greatly improved.
Qtier automatic tiered storage maximizes SSD benefits
Qtier technology allows hot/cold data to be flexibly moved between M.2 SSD, 2.5-inch SSD and 3.5-inch large-capacity HDD, improving performance and achieving storage economic benefits. Qtier 2.0 supports IO Aware, which allows the SSD layer that stores critical data to have the ability to simulate cache space, allowing high-priced SSDs to maximize their value and comprehensively improve storage cost-effectiveness.
Note: Qtier automatic tiered storage is only supported on the QTS operating system.

File management made easy
File Station allows you to centrally manage all files on the TS-873A and set file and folder permissions. You can easily and quickly upload files from computers, mobile phones and other devices, drag and drop files between different folders, and delete files. You can also use the web version of Office to directly open and edit Microsoft® Office files stored on the QNAP NAS, greatly eliminating the trouble of downloading Word files, Excel worksheets, and PowerPoint presentations from the NAS back to your computer for modification! When you need to share confidential files on the NAS, you can first encrypt the files into .qenc format through File Station and set a password. The recipient can then use QENC Decrypter on their computer to decrypt, effectively improving the security level of data sharing.
